We would like a Practice Nurse to join our already fantastic nursing team. We offer competitive rates of pay and holiday allowance and our team benefit from NHS Pensions and our staff savings scheme. We offer flu vaccinations along with Hepatitis cover. We have two Wellbeing Champions who arrange team get-togethers and events. The candidate would work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, totalling 32 hours per week, and have the flexibility to offer holiday and sickness cover. We hold flu and covid clinics on Saturdays and also work our share of Improved Access Saturdays (these are minimal) and we would expect our candidate to work a share of these. Main duties of the job

As a Practice Nurse you will be expected to see patients at the practice for long-term condition reviews (with GP support), cervical screening, wound care & dressings, minor injuries & assist with minor surgeries, vaccinations including childhood vaccinations and immunizations, shingles, B12, depo, covid, flu & pneumonia, asthma & COPD reviews, etc. You will be expected to manage your workload and enter all data onto the electronic patient record using the relevant coding. About us

We work in a busy market town in South Norfolk and we are 26 miles from our nearest hospital. We have a fantastic team of nurses including a Nurse Practitioner, Outreach Nurse who looks after our frail and elderly, and three HCAs. We all support each other and have developed good working relationships and friendships. We have good support from our admin and dispensary staff. We also benefit greatly from having a Social Prescriber, Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Mental Health Worker, and First Contact Physiotherapy. Our Community Nursing Team is based on our premises along with Community Physio, Podiatrist, Hand Physio, SALT, etc. The community staff often come directly to us to speak to a GP or Nurse when they need to. The nursing team works in a nursing wing which includes a large treatment room with bariatric equipment and life support emergency trolley. It has space for several clinicians to work, if necessary and our minor surgeries are carried out in this room, mostly. Job responsibilities

Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Must be a registered nurse Primary Care experience Experience

Experience of working within a nursing team. Experience of dealing with a variety of patients. Experience of working in primary care. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
