Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. The Practice Nurse will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patients in their health journey, demonstrating a strong knowledge of anatomy and a commitment to excellent patient care. Duties Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories accurately. Running asthma, COPD and diabetes clinics and reviews (desirable) Running Cervical screening clinics (desirable) Spirometry clinic (desirable) Administer vaccinations and other injections as required. Assist in the management of chronic diseases and monitor patient progress. Provide health education and advice to patients regarding lifestyle changes and disease prevention. Prioritising health problems and intervening appropriately, to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care. Perform routine clinical procedures such as wound care, blood pressure checks, and ECGs. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with confidentiality regulations. Ensure that the practice environment is safe, clean, and organised for both staff and patients. Qualifications Registered Nurse qualification with valid NMC registration. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential. Previous experience in a primary care or community setting is desirable but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients. Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in using electronic health record systems is an advantage.
