An opportunity has arisen at Townhead Medical Practice for a committed and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our clinical team.
We are based within the Queen Elizabeth Building at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We are a four Partner GP training practice with an existing team consisting of Nursing, Health Care, Physio and Salaried GPs.
The desired candidate would ideally be an experienced GPN & preferably a qualified prescriber, but training will be provided for the right candidate. They should be a highly motivated team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. They would work closely with the current care team and an ability to demonstrate clinical thinking and deliver high quality patient focused care.
The post’s focus will be on delivering a high standard of care for patients with long term chronic conditions as well as the ability to perform cervical screening. Knowledge of sexual health, reproductive services, and HRT would be desired; however, the practice would support training towards this if required.
We are ideally looking for someone to join us 2 days per week (there is a degree of flexibility with the days & the start date).
Salary will be dependent on experience, annual leave will be 6 weeks pro-rata, and you will be added to the SPPA pension scheme.
