About the Role Purbeck Health Centre in Milton Keynes has a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic practice nurse to join our warm and welcoming GP surgery, to provide exceptional care to our patient population of 6,000. This position is offered on a part-time basis working 3.5 days per week, 30.5 hours with the following schedule;

Monday: 08:00 – 17:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) Wednesday: 08:00 – 17:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) Thursday: 08:00 – 17:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) Friday: 08:00 – 13:00 (no lunch break) We are also open to job share arrangements for the right candidate, so if flexibility is important to you, we’re happy to discuss options.

As our practice nurse, you will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including:

Managing INR Star (warfarin monitoring). Conducting asthma reviews. Carrying out COPD reviews. Delivering part 2 diabetes reviews. Providing treatment room care, including wound management, cervical cytology, and administering vaccinations. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:

A relevant nursing degree with experience within general practice. INR Star (warfarin management). Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and part 2 diabetes reviews. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS. Proactive, organised, and enjoys working collaboratively with a team. Passion for patient-centred care and delivering high-quality nursing services. Our doctors, nurses and all our other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service. We use System One software and are fully supported by the excellent Nexus MK PCN.
