Southend Medical Centre has an exciting new opportunity. We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced practice nurse on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week, covering Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
To be considered for this position, you must have primary care experience.
Main duties of the job
To work as a registered practice nurse supporting the organisation and facilitating clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice. To maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols and policies, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team. It is essential that the practice nurse works within their own level of competency and expands their role in accordance with practice requirements and their own scope of practice. About us

Qualifications
Foundation degree as a registered nurse. NMC registration. Experience
You must have previous experience working in primary care. You must be qualified in cervical screening, childhood immunisations, vaccines, staple and suture removal, basic wound care, and experience in SystmOne. It is desirable that you have diabetes, asthma, COPD, stop smoking, contraception, and complex wound care qualifications. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
