Join the expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the largest and most exciting megaprojects in the UK. Building on the success of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C has secured planning approval and Government support. This project aims to deliver dependable electricity to six million homes for 60 years and help Britain achieve its Net Zero goals by 2050. As a Pre-Construction Lead, you will play a critical role in the successful planning and initiation of the Sizewell C project. You will lead a multidisciplinary pre-construction team to deliver comprehensive strategies, budgets, and schedules that ensure the project meets its safety, quality, and delivery targets. Principal Accountabilities Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement project management and construction strategies to deliver the Sizewell C project on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. Team Building:

Build and lead a high-performing team with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and objectives. Planning & Coordination:

Oversee construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation while ensuring alignment with overall project schedules. Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with design teams, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to maintain compliance, resolve issues, and drive project success. Safety & Compliance:

Prioritise safety and ensure adherence to Nuclear Safety and Industrial Safety standards, including CDM Regulations. Operational Excellence:

Manage progress tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation to ensure smooth project execution. Supply Chain Collaboration:

Foster strong partnerships with supply chain partners to achieve best-for-project outcomes. Essential Knowledge & Skills Proven experience in pre-construction and the delivery of large, complex construction projects. Deep understanding of project planning processes, including managing interfaces, construction sequencing, and recovery plans. Expertise in piping systems design, installation, and testing, as well as knowledge of pressure systems regulations. Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and build high-performing teams. Extensive experience working within regulated environments, including nuclear or high-security settings. Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts and commercial principles affecting construction projects. Strong organisational and communication skills, with a collaborative and motivational approach. Essential Qualifications & Experience Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience. Demonstrable experience across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
