We're recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager to work for one of the largest FM companies in the UK based at a static building in Stevenage.

The business you will be working for is considered to be one of the biggest FM companies in the UK, operating throughout Europe and into America. As a business, they employ over 38,000 people across 180 locations. Initially started in 1994, they originally set up in the United States and have grown to become one of the most recognizable businesses in facilities management, construction, industrial, and energy infrastructure across building services.

The client on site is a well-known pharmaceutical healthcare business. You will be based on the static site in Stevenage. Originally, the client was founded in India and has been the supplier and manufacturer of various medicines and vaccines we use in today's society.

Job Responsibilities for a Pre-Construction Manager:

Act as the primary point of contact between clients and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the triage process. Develop and define the scope for minor pharmaceutical construction projects, or engineering tickets, ensuring all technical, regulatory, and operational requirements are met. Translate client needs into detailed project specifications, collaborating with both internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and compliance. Review and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering documentation, offering guidance and recommendations for design and construction considerations. Ensure that all project deliverables align with client expectations, timelines, and regulatory standards, managing any changes or adjustments to scope as necessary.

Experience required as a Pre-Construction Manager:

Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in pharmaceutical construction projects. Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to a variety of audiences, including clients, engineers, and project teams. Experience in developing and defining project scope, with a focus on aligning technical specifications with client objectives. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.
