£30,000 Per annum General Summary Bonnier Books UK has an exciting opening for a pre-press coordinator to work across its varied imprints on a wide list of colour titles. This will include working on new titles, reprints, and co-editions. We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with meticulous attention to detail for this customer-facing pre-press role. You will have good knowledge of file set up and be able to troubleshoot and solve any file set up issues. You will be happy to liaise directly with our co-edition customers for files and approvals and are keen to build relationships with customers and the internal teams. This role is an opportunity to work across a wide variety of titles, from board books and pop-ups to licensed products. Key Responsibilities Managing the file supply for translation for all co-editions printings, frontlist, and reprints. Direct communication with global co-edition customers for file supply, any file supply problems or issues, and final approvals. Effective checking and preflight of files, able to identify file problems and work with customers to rectify them. Managing plotter stages through our online platform Page Proof for corrections and approvals, working with the production team. Being organised and schedule-oriented, ensuring each stage of the schedule is met and the customer’s approval is obtained within the agreed timeline. Excellent file management: Maintain an organised and effective file storage and archive. Working closely with the creative team and production department to deliver files on time and in good order. Creating offset files for the Children’s fiction team. Supplying files to the production team when titles move to the printer. Supplying files to customers for royalty deals. Qualifications and Experience Experience of working in InDesign and good knowledge of file set up for print is essential. Previous experience of working in a pre-press role or something similar. Experience of working on colour books; additional mono experience would be ideal but not essential. Experience of managing scheduling. Clear and effective communicator who is able to build and maintain excellent internal and external working relationships; customer-facing experience would be ideal.
