Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our dynamic team at Mulberries and Willows Nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a nurturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our Preschool room and maintaining high standards of Ofsted statutory requirements. Duties Job Summary: The Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of a designated room within the nursery. This role involves leading a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality early years care and education, ensuring that all children are supported in their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support a team of practitioners in the room. Plan, organise, and implement daily routines and activities in alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in early years care. Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued. Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and developing individual learning plans. Support children’s development in all areas, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s development. Address concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent (required). Proven experience in an early years setting, with leadership responsibilities preferred. Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles. Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
