The unit has been awarded BFI Level 3. We have exciting opportunities for experienced midwives to join our established team of midwives at NLAG. Main duties of the job Working in the Antenatal Day Unit and Consultant-Led ANC, including a Fetal medicine ANC. Performing screening tests and effective monitoring of pregnancies. Supports, supervises and teaches less experienced staff in the department and relevant clinical and non-clinical procedures and practices. Works autonomously within the department/team within Trust guidelines and sphere of professional practice. Person specification Education and Qualifications NMC registered Midwife Midwifery Degree or working towards NMC Registered Adult Nurse Evidence of post registration development in Midwifery Qualified sign off Mentor or willingness to undertake Occupational Experience Experience of managing a team or area, or experience of being ‘in charge’ of a shift Successfully completed preceptor ship package or demonstrable equivalent competencies and skills (Band 6)
