Our Client is a leading food manufacturer specializing in fresh ready meals. Role Overview: The Prep Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation processes and ensuring raw materials are accurately prepared and ready for production. This role ensures all prep activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with production schedules, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership:

Manage, motivate, and develop the prep team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement. Scheduling:

Plan and coordinate prep schedules to align with production requirements and minimize downtime. Quality Assurance:

Ensure all raw materials are prepared according to recipe specifications and company standards. Compliance:

Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company policies (e.g., HACCP, BRC, and GMP). Stock Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring availability while minimizing waste. Process Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities to optimize prep processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Health & Safety:

Promote a safe working environment, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Reporting:

Track and report key performance metrics, such as prep yields, efficiency, and waste levels. Requirements: Proven experience in a food manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on preparation processes. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and developing teams. Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, BRC) and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with production teams and senior management. Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in [specific food categories, e.g., chilled, fresh, or frozen products]. Certifications in food safety, hygiene, or health and safety.
