Job Overview The position includes providing resident-focused assistance to households that are having housing issues. This include scheduling visits with the Prevention & Assessment Officer, screening homeless situations, and providing preliminary housing advice. Within the Prevention & Assessment Team, administrative support is also given, encompassing documentation, information gathering, and case administration. Responsibilities Resident Triage: Evaluate the risk of homelessness through in-person and telephone contacts. Making Appointments: Schedule meetings with the Prevention & Assessment Officer and gather preliminary data. Housing Advice: Provide guidance on how to avoid homelessness and the types of housing that are available. Administrative Support: Write letters, reply to emails, handle case files, and contact third parties. Case Management: Keep resident records current and make sure that data is entered into case management systems accurately. Experience Prior experience providing housing or support services is preferred. Communicating with inhabitants and outside parties in a clear, sympathetic manner. The capacity to oversee several tasks, such as scheduling and paperwork, is an example of organizational skills. Proficiency in record-keeping and case management tools. Exercise caution when handling private information. Job Type: Temporary Contract length: 12 weeks Pay: £16.00 per hour Expected hours: 36 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Expected start date: 13/01/2025
