DSV Air & Sea is seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will focus on supporting our clients within the Oil & Gas vertical, providing competitive and strategic pricing solutions for air and sea freight.
You will analyze market trends, develop pricing strategies, and work closely with sales teams and other stakeholders to ensure profitability and market competitiveness.
Key Tasks Analyze historical data, market conditions, and competitor rates to create competitive pricing models tailored to Oil & Gas clients. Provide accurate and timely pricing for spot quotes, while collaborating with the sales team to close deals with strategic clients. Continuously monitor and assess market trends, fuel prices, and industry developments in the Oil & Gas sector to ensure pricing remains competitive and aligned with market demands. Work directly with key clients in the Oil & Gas industry to understand their specific shipping and logistical needs, developing tailored solutions. Evaluate the profitability of pricing models and the financial impact on DSV's operations, ensuring all quotes meet margin requirements and company objectives. Partner with the operations and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiencies and service delivery meet client expectations. Generate reports on pricing trends, performance, and opportunities for improvement. Provide forecasts to support budgeting and decision-making processes. Ensure all pricing solutions comply with industry regulations and corporate policies, particularly with respect to international shipping and Oil & Gas-specific requirements.
Skills and Competencies Previous experience working in a logistics or supply chain capacity Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a similar role Commercial skills and capability to negotiate and collaborate with Branch, Sales and Product about "right cost" and "right price" A collaborative worker who possesses strong influencing skills Self-motivated self-starter High level of attention to and ownership of detail, balanced by the need to see the bigger picture Experience in working CW1 application Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
