The Pricing Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the pricing strategy for a diverse portfolio of print and digital products. Working across our Commercial, Marketing, Editorial, and Finance teams, the objective of the post holder is to optimize pricing models for the business that maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining competitiveness and driving purchases from both B2B and B2C outlets. Educating stakeholders on pricing optimisation, the Pricing Director will embed into routine activity the importance of a dynamic pricing structure. By leveraging data analytics, market insights, and customer behaviour, the Pricing Director will ensure pricing strategies are dynamic, adaptive, and aligned with Taylor & Francis’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities and Accountability: Develop and execute comprehensive pricing strategies for new and existing products ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends. Leverage analytics and data to read market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer demand to identify opportunities for price optimization. Implement dynamic pricing models tailored to content, format, regional factors, and customer segments. Engage with Editorial, Commercial, and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with overall product positioning. Establish discounting, promotional, and bundling strategies to optimize revenue growth and enhance value perception. Monitor product lifecycle stages, adjusting prices to maintain competitiveness and profitability. Provide recommendations on bundling, subscription models, and discount strategies to drive revenue and engagement. Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge Required Demonstrate a high level of credibility with a proven track record in supporting organisations and influencing stakeholders through pricing decisions and market analysis. Possess experience in developing, managing, and implementing analytical tools that can rapidly assess diverse markets across multiple dimensions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and drive change with stakeholders at all levels of the business. Strong experience with customer groups and an understanding of customer requirements, ideally in the media or publishing space. Numerate with an ability to interpret and understand project plans, budgets, and financial targets. Additional Information
