We have an exciting opportunity for a

Primary Care Nurse

to join our

Primary Care

team at

HMP Lindholme , a

category C

Prison located in Hatfield, Doncaster.

Working with a very friendly and flexible team, on-site gym, and lots of free parking, but due to the location, you must be a driver. There are many opportunities for additional training, up-skilling, and development.

Hours

37.5 hours a week working a mixture of longer days 7.30am-7.30pm and 7.30am-5.30pm with 1 or 2 weekends a month. No rolling rotas or nights, and your preferred shifts can be discussed at interview as there is flexibility around this.

Salary

This position is full-time, and you’ll receive an annual salary of up to £40,221 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a

Primary Care Nurse , your responsibilities will include:

Working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions

Undertaking medication rounds, dispensing controlled medication, attending emergency response situations, assessing patients, and undertaking reception screening

Using your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi-disciplinary team

Providing outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback to ensure care is personalized

Delivering non-judgmental care that makes a real difference

Inspiring excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Promoting best practice, clinical supervision, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning

Sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications required:

Registered nurse – Adult

Current professional qualification (NMC)

Evidence of Continued Professional Development

Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

Desirable - Long terms conditions experience and an interest in sexual health
