HMP Long Lartin is a male prison serving life sentences with a capacity for 690 inmates. Not well situated so you would need to drive.

Hours: Shift patterns would be a mixture of days (9 and 12 hour shifts) and weekends on a rota basis - 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: This position is full time, you will receive an annual salary from £33,232 to £40,211 a year - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
Deliver non-judgemental care
Build strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Registered nurse
Adult
Current professional qualification (NMC)
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
