Providingassessment, screening and treatment services and health education advice Providenursing treatments to patients in participation with general practitioners or independentlyto agreed protocols. Providegeneral and specific health screenings to the practice patients (within agreedprotocols) with referral to general practitioners as necessary. The Apples Medical Centre is a long established five partner practice of 5624 patients within sight of both historic Sherborne Castles.We are a modern thinking Dispensing Practice, with an emphasis on traditional continuity of care.The Practice has a higher than average remuneration and a manageable doctor to patient ratio.We achieve high QOF points and our latest CQC inspection rated the Practice as Good.We have a high patient satisfaction rate and dispense to 1975 of our patient population.We commenced with eConsult, in additional to our Telephone consultations and Email communication.We offer of mixture of pre-bookable and book on the day Job responsibilities

To provide andmaintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providingnursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcareteam. The duties will include all tasksnormally undertaken by an experienced RGN and any additional roles agreedbetween the nurse and the doctors as appropriate, having regard to currenttraining. Typical duties include: holding patient consultations within the surgery carrying out physical examinations and tests such as cervical smear treating wounds applying and removing dressings giving advice, education and information about stopping smoking and losing weight taking patient samples, swabs and specimens, and checking pulses, temperatures and blood pressures administering immunisations, travel vaccinations and infant injections writing records and keeping patients notes up to date assisting GPs with minor procedures. Person Specification

Qualifications

Registered nurse with current NMC registration and active PIN Minimum 2 years experience post registration. Experience

Experience of working in primary care Experience of GMS Contract and QOF requirements Disclosure and Barring Service Check
