Project work is primarily within the public sector, including Defence and FCDO, complemented by residential and mixed used opportunities.
The successful candidate will be involved in developing new clients and opportunities and winning tenders. Your Role
Working as part of our established NZC team, you will have a mandate to develop NZC design, modelling and reporting methodologies to complement our existing methods and working practices.
You will be an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects, providing the expertise and knowledge to facilitate the delivery of climate resistant, low energy buildings. As part of this process, you will run Net Zero Workshops, and model and report on Whole Life, Embodied and Operational Carbon using tools such as LCA One Click Software and PassivHaus PHPP.
You will also support winning new opportunities primarily in the public sector, working with Studio staff as well as other disciplines. About You
You must be an enthusiastic and motivated ARB registered Architect with knowledge and experience in the design and assessment of a wide range of buildings and facilities from inception to completion.
A proven track record of the delivery of low energy buildings and or retrofit projects is desirable, as are any related qualifications and certification (Passivhaus, AECB).
Fundamentally, you must have the ability to work at a high level, employing a range of drawing, modelling and interpersonal skills to engage, influence and collaborate with cogent clients, colleagues and stakeholders on a broad range of interesting projects.
This is not always just architecture; working with our wide range of professional colleagues you will help solve the type of complex problems our clients need our support with. Required Skills
Excellent numeracy and communication skills are essential for this position - you will research, write and illustrate print-ready reports as well as preparing fee and project bids and taking part in interviews.
You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of an established team.
You must be experienced in technical detailing with a particular focus on thermal bridging and air tightness.
You must be proficient in the use of REVIT.
