Principal Bridge Engineer

Overview:
As a Principal Engineer, you'll be a key player in our client's bridge engineering team. The team is relatively new and has ambitious growth planned. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting team, right at the start of their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide bridge engineering projects from initial concept to final completion with technical precision. Perform in-depth structural analysis and design for diverse bridge types, including concrete, steel, and composite. Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, including plans, specifications, and estimates. Provide expert guidance to project managers and team members, ensuring project goals are met. Oversee engineering deliverables, ensuring they are completed on schedule and to high standards. Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Offer on-site expertise during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Mentor and support junior engineers, enhancing their skills and career development. Conduct workshops and training sessions to elevate team technical competence. Perform rigorous quality reviews, following BB-ENG-QC procedures to ensure deliverable accuracy. Implement strategies to enhance team performance and project efficiency. Stay abreast of the latest bridge engineering advancements through conferences and workshops. Requirements:
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Ideally Chartered Engineer with the ICE or IStructE. At least 7 years of experience in bridge engineering design and construction. Expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AEC RSA, MIDAS, IDEA StatiCa). Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and readiness to travel and work on-site as needed.
