Principal C&I Engineer
to join their dynamic team. This role is based in Aberdeen with hybrid working options, offering an excellent opportunity to lead projects and provide technical expertise in control and instrumentation engineering. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and delivery of control and instrumentation systems for projects within the oil and gas/energy sector. Act as the technical authority for C&I engineering, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Develop and review engineering deliverables, including specifications, datasheets, calculations, and technical reports. Provide expert guidance during all project phases, including design reviews, factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, and project handover. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Engage with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates on technical progress. Skills and Experience: Significant experience in a senior or lead control and instrumentation engineering role, ideally within the oil and gas or energy industries. Strong technical expertise in C&I systems design, including knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., IEC, ATEX). Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to completion. Proficiency in tools and technologies such as PLC/SCADA systems, DCS systems, and instrument design software. Qualifications: Degree in Control, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is desirable. Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., IET, Institute of Measurement and Control).
