Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. Overview of role As a Principal Engineer you will be responsible for the design of structures integral to large scale civil infrastructure projects and underground spaces. You will lead teams, manage production, and coordinate delivery of your designs with multi-disciplinary members and senior stakeholders. As well as contributing to projects, you will play an active role in Mott MacDonald’s practice communities, where knowledge is shared and best practices are fostered. You have a Masters level degree in Civil Engineering and are chartered with the ICE or IStructE with at least 10 years’ experience relevant to the role. You have detailed knowledge of reinforced concrete design and understand the fundamentals of soil-structure interaction. You are familiar with the latest construction techniques for underground spaces and have practical experience of buildability issues. You have ambitions to take on broader leadership roles and contribute to our culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
