We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative clinician to join the Department of Psychological Medicine in a newly commissioned post to provide psychological support and intervention for the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in Grimsby and Scunthorpe, and the Paediatric Diabetes Service across North and North East Lincolnshire. The post involves providing direct and indirect psychotherapeutic interventions. Multidisciplinary team working is key to this role and therefore the post also involves liaising with service managers, clinical team leads and allied health professionals to support the provision of a specialist clinical psychology service for young people, families and staff in Neonatal and Diabetes services. The post holder will be expected to support the development of these new services in collaboration with leads for the Neonatal and Paediatric Diabetes services. This post is suited to someone with an interest in, or experience in, working with children, young people, families and teams in acute and community health care services. The post will be supervised and supported by the Principal Clinical Psychologist for Neonatal Psychology, and the Principal Clinical Psychologist for Paediatric Diabetes Psychology Service in the Department of Psychological Medicine. To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention for Neonatal and Paediatric Diabetes services in North and North East Lincolnshire in the context of integrated and comprehensive multidisciplinary specialist health services. Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, knowledge of two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. To be a fully registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council. Member of the British Psychological Society. Post-qualification training in approaches and therapies appropriate for neonatal and paediatric diabetes settings context e.g. working with attachment, trauma, systems/family therapy and bereavement. Occupational experience and abilities
Experience of working with a variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity. Experience of working across a variety of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient and residential care settings. Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for a client's psychological care and treatment, both individually and in liaison with other relevant professionals involved in the patient's care. Experience of providing support and intervention systemically to family and/or carers. Experience of compiling and providing teaching and training sessions. Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams or services. Formal training in supervision and experience of providing supervision to clinical psychologists and/or AHPs. Experience of service development and supporting implementation of national guidelines for service delivery. Ability to be resilient in highly distressing and emotive situations in order to support families and staff. Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and national guidance and how and when these should be implemented. Experience of undertaking relevant practice-based research. Experience working psychologically with a client group or in a setting relevant to Neonatal Psychology and Paediatric Diabetic Psychology e.g. Paediatrics, Infant mental health, working with families, Perinatal or Maternity settings, CAMHS Health. Experience of working through an interpreter. Specialist knowledge of psychological, physical health and medical interventions relating to infant mental health, maternal health, occupational health and medical psychology areas. Knowledge/experience of MDT group working i.e. reflective practice and supervision groups. Knowledge of legislation and national policies and guidance in relation to Neonatal Psychological care, Maternity care and Paediatric Diabetic care. Personal Qualities

Able to work within remit of own knowledge and skills and utilize supervision appropriately to identify areas of concern or for personal and professional development.
