Hiring: Principal Control Systems Software Engineer
Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames - hybrid and flexible working pattern
Competitive IR35 contract - 12 months with likely extension

Experis are working with an incredible organisation who are seeking a Control Systems Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge technology and capabilities using Control Systems Engineering techniques in a specific manner on important National Defence Programmes.
The successful candidate will deliver software design and development expertise for maritime control and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and develop customer requirements
Produce detailed technical design documentation in alignment with company/customer procedures
Specify, design and test solutions for SCADA Systems and operating systems using RedHat Linux
Manage data communications with third party equipment
Develop SCADA software from multiple design formats such as Block Diagrams, Flow Charts and Pseudo Code
Requirements:
Development Experience of Siemens (ETM) WinCC Open Architecture (OA)
Specification and analysis of COTS equipment
Experience using High Level Programming Languages within SCADA IDE environments e.g.; VB, C#/C++
Oracle/SQL Database administration and interfacing
Functional Safety understanding (BS EN 61508, 61511 or 62061)
Software testing and verification
Hands on experience with RedHat Linux operating systems
