The role is for an experienced data scientist who is recognized both internally and by customers as a subject matter expert – with a track record of applying data science and machine learning to deliver measurable benefit for our customers’ missions – and go-to person in at least one area of data science and machine learning, demonstrating clear technical leadership and the ability to influence. Responsibilities: Plan and execute complex data science requirements across a portfolio of projects, including identification of risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.

Provide technical leadership for multiple teams of data scientists, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and to quality.

Act as a formal customer point of contact and maintain strong, influential relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Broker new relationships within the customer organisation, providing added value through deduplication of effort and access to unique expertise.

Contribute subject matter expertise into bids, proposals and studies, ensuring proposals meet customer needs.

Communicate with senior stakeholders and demonstrate the business benefits of data science.

Exhibit a breadth of understanding across data science and machine learning.

Work with data engineers and customers to support data feeds for data science solutions.

Design, code, test, correct and document moderate-to-complex programs and scripts.

Experience in geographical information systems and predictive analysis is a bonus.
