£60,000 to £70,000 DOE + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Additional 5 Days Holiday with Service + Private Medical + Group Life Assurance (5 x Salary) + Income Protection + Training and Development
Working Hours:
37 Hours Per Week - Week 1 Monday to Friday, Week 2 Monday to Thursday - Every Second Friday Off
Principal Design and Development Engineer required for an industry leading supplier of manufacturing machinery with a reputation of global excellence. This is a great opportunity to join a company with a worldwide presence who are truly committed to developing their staff.
This role would suit an experienced mechanical design engineer with experience designing special purpose machinery and leading design projects. Candidates from any industry background will be suitable. You will also need experience producing detailed drawings and geometrical tolerancing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of special purpose automation machinery and their prototypes. The role will involve the use of SolidWorks, and you will ensure designs comply with specifications and safety regulations. You will report into the Product Development Manager and support the ongoing development of junior engineers. Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design works using SolidWorks Work on special purpose machinery Support all aspects of new product development from initial concept to delivery Support and lead design reviews Development of prototype test plans Candidate Requirements:
Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer Experience leading product development projects Experience planning project budgets Experience designing special purpose machinery Experienced with detailed drawings and geometrical tolerancing
