Principal Design & Development Engineer Gloucestershire Up to £70,000 Take the lead in designing and developing innovative automation machinery, from initial concept to final delivery. Support the Product Development Manager in mentoring team engineers and enhancing product quality. Key Responsibilities:

Drive mechanical design for a range of machinery. Manage full-cycle product development, including stakeholder requirements and risk assessments. Conduct and lead design reviews; oversee prototype testing and testing plans. Develop engineering drawings and ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate closely with production and manufacturing teams. Document progress, create technical reports, and provide updates to leadership. Oversee initial installations and customer testing. Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship. 15+ years in design engineering, including 7+ years with specialized machinery. Proven leadership in product development projects and budget planning. Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and strong mechanical drawing skills. Other Requirements:

Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally as needed.
