As a leader in advanced technological and engineering solutions, our client is looking for a talented individual to join their team for an 18-month contract in London, United Kingdom. Role Overview Lead and oversee detailed FE analysis for subsea pipeline and spools design activities, such as: Wall thickness, Stability, Bottom roughness and Freespan. Utilize software tools such as Orcaflex, ANSYS, and ABAQUS to ensure structural integrity and stability. Collaborate with team members to ensure installation and constructability aspects are considered in pipeline systems design. Conduct hand calculations and utilize FEA software to analyse statics, dynamics, fatigue, and other structural aspects. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for subsea engineering. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers. Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. Work onsite at the designated location. Skills & Qualifications Degree in civil, structural, or mechanical discipline. Extensive experience in subsea engineering with knowledge of typical subsea software tools. Comprehensive understanding of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and fatigue. Proficiency in software tools such as Orcaflex, ANSYS, and ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D solid elements). Familiarity with DNV SESAM, Sage Profile 2D, and AutoPIPE will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Ability to work onsite at the designated location for the duration of the contract. Education & Experience Degree in civil, structural, or mechanical discipline. Certifications in relevant software tools or industry standards will be beneficial. Unlock your potential with Airswift.
