Principal Civil Design Engineer An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Civil Design Engineer to join a leading water and wastewater company. This role requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in civil engineering design, specifically in the water sector. The ideal candidate will bring confidence and adaptability to ongoing design work and excel in collaborating with teams and clients to refine and develop effective engineering solutions. Responsibilities: Lead and manage civil design projects in the water and wastewater sector, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions that meet client specifications and project requirements. Review and refine designs to meet technical standards, regulations, and health, safety, and environmental criteria. Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design concepts and solutions. Conduct site assessments and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to support effective project execution. Requirements: Strong communication skills to explain complex design concepts and collaborate effectively with clients and teams. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with critical and creative problem-solving abilities. Relevant engineering qualification (BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering), with Chartered status (CEng) desirable but not essential. Knowledge of design codes, regulations, and health and safety standards, with adaptability to meet project requirements. What This is Offering: Competitive salary of £55,000 to £65,000, dependent on experience. £3.5k car allowance. Opportunities for ongoing professional development and CPD. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Full-time, permanent position.
