We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principle Design Engineer to join our team in Watford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of complex engineering projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Duties Lead the design and engineering phases of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design integrity and resolve any technical issues. Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and value engineering exercises. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Person Specification Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it. Experience in structural design engineering within the Civil Engineering industry. Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro). In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
