We are seeking an experienced Draughtsperson with a proven track record in managing teams and delivering high-quality engineering drawings. The successful candidate will oversee a team comprising Senior and Junior Draughtspersons as well as Apprentices, ensuring the timely and accurate production of engineering drawings across various projects.
Ideally, you will be educated to A level standard (or equivalent) and will have at least 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent) including English and Maths. You will have a HND/HNC (or equivalent in Engineering) and also hold a UK Driving licence (or one acceptable to our insurers).
You will have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in an Engineering/Civils environment, a strong working knowledge of relevant software (including Microstation Connect, SolidEdge, NX, or Open Utilities Substation), and an up-to-date working knowledge of industry-specific standards and practices, applying relevant essential Health and Safety/CDM issues.

Managing the production of high-quality engineering drawings across the team in accordance with company and industry-specific standards. Responsibility for team deliverables to the Design Department. Provide Engineering CAD expertise. Manage workflow of the team to meet deadlines. Produce and manage the team to create a wide range of CAD drawings using different software. Undertake QA/QC checks across a broad range of engineering CAD deliverables and can self-check own work prior to the approval stage.
