We are looking for an experienced Nature Principal Advisor to support our Nature Technical Director in a variety of exciting projects.
This role involves providing nature-led services expertise and support on a varied range of schemes, from new settlements to urban regeneration schemes, as well as education, employment, and sports and leisure developments, all within one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Ecology or Environmental Sciences and at least six years of relevant postgraduate experience within a consultancy environment. They will be proficient in the use of the biodiversity metric and skilled in managing large scale projects, including onboarding and managing sub-contractors. Experience in carrying out protected species surveys and confidence in liaising with clients, statutory bodies, and local planning authorities is essential.
They will also have:
Full CIEEM membership and protected species survey licences.
Skills in approving reports and providing technical input into bids.
Leadership qualities, including skills in line management, mentoring, and promoting our nature services to the wider business and beyond.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a team.
Although not essential, it would also be desirable to have a master's degree in a relevant subject and chartership.
