Job Summary Become a global electrical engineering program leader, focusing on critical facility operations. Innovate and implement effective operating practices to drive continuous improvement in operating performance. Collaborate with Equinix and external stakeholders to establish robust operating policies, optimize the selection of efficient power delivery systems, and ensure Equinix's operating requirements are met. Responsibilities

Foster proactive engagement with regional operations to develop global technical programs supporting critical facilities engineering across Data Center Operations. Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for critical facilities. Drive the development and implementation of operating policies, procedures and best practices, regularly updating them to reflect changing requirements. Facilitate global communication and knowledge-sharing among operations teams to drive continual improvement in operating policies and practices. Ensure that operating and maintenance decisions are informed by data-driven analysis and promptly communicated to all stakeholders. Lead and execute global initiatives to maximize reliability, improve cost performance, enhance sustainability, and optimize operating models. Develop and oversee training programs for critical facilities engineers and managers, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to manage electrical systems effectively. Provide expert guidance and decision-making within the Global Operations Engineering (GOE) team and collaborate with other relevant groups on electrical systems and issues. Stay abreast of industry trends and collaborate with external data center industry consortiums to identify and implement new best practices for enhancing operating performance. Represent Equinix by participating in and presenting at industry conferences, boards, and consortiums. Qualifications

Proven years of professional experience preferred in electrical engineering program ownership including aspects of design, operating practices, repair and maintenance, and training focusing on data center or mission-critical power delivery systems. Certification in process/program management or equivalent is preferred. Expertise in critical power and electrical distribution, industrial control solutions, and standard operating procedures. Strong critical facility engineering knowledge, including hands-on experience in managing or operating a facility. Technical proficiency in critical power and cooling systems, life safety, and environmental compliance. Experience in technical writing, including the development of policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership. Ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives, identifying and solving problems effectively. Availability to participate in meetings across multiple time zones and willingness to travel as needed and be on-call.
