This company is involved in a variety of development and transport infrastructure projects, from commercial buildings and stadiums to cycle networks and road redesigns. While some of the work may focus on forward-looking projects, the role often involves balancing multiple priorities, working long hours, and meeting tight deadlines.
You will have an opportunity to contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction management.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
We are seeking someone with an interest in transport and highway infrastructure engineering. You will ideally demonstrate some of the following:
A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or close to achieving it).
Ability to work independently, make decisions, and act on your own initiative.
Numeracy and analytical skills.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Familiarity with design tools such as Civils3D, AutoCAD, and the AutoDesk ecosystem.
Experience in transport and highway infrastructure design (e.g., S278, urban streets, public realm schemes).
Experience managing your workload and checking the work of others.
Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Some experience supporting team members' career progression and managing client relationships.
Desirable skills and experience:
Knowledge of construction logistics and traffic management design support.
Familiarity with OpenRoads, MicroStation, and the Bentley ecosystem.
Experience in BIM environments.
Understanding of drainage design (surface and sub-surface).
Some onsite experience with inspections and scheme implementation.
