Our client, a distinguished entity in the Highways & Transport is currently seeking a Principal Engineer to join their team on an interim basis. Key Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing 20mph schemes, highway improvements, and traffic management solutions Managing car parking and resident parking projects Overseeing cycleway schemes and pedestrian crossings Conducting consultations, procurement processes, and site supervision Collaborating with contractors and monitoring project progress on-site Ensuring project delivery aligns with safety and regulatory standards Job Requirements:
Experience in highway engineering, particularly within the HTP sector Proficiency in AutoCAD Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to attend team meetings on Wednesdays and regularly visit sites Understanding of traffic management and pedestrian safety principles Opportunity to work on a variety of impactful and community-focused projects Professional development within a supportive team environment Flexible working arrangements commensurate with contract requirements
