Principal Engineering Geologist

to lead project delivery, mentor our talented team, and drive growth in the South West. You’ll work closely with our Regional Manager and Project Directors to ensure projects meet technical and financial targets, while building strong client relationships. Your Daily Excavation: Manage a portfolio of projects (typically ≤£100k), delivering on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Author and review accurate, technically robust reports, designs, and risk assessments. Lead client and stakeholder meetings, offering expert advice and solutions. Scope, price, and win projects by crafting compelling bids and proposals. Line manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring excellent performance. Drive business development by expanding client accounts and identifying new opportunities. Promote health, safety, and quality across all aspects of work. Represent CGL externally through publications, CPD events, and on social media. What You’ll Rock At: Chartered Geologist/Engineer

with a track record of delivering technical excellence. Proven

Project Manager

skilled in risk, resource, and change management. Strong client relationship builder with business development experience. Confident communicator, able to lead and inspire teams and clients. Experience in mentoring and line management, including appraisals and pastoral care. Passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Full UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel.
