Job Overview As a Principal at C10 Labs, you will play a critical role in leading investments and driving portfolio success across cutting-edge AI-driven startups. You will work closely with General Partners (GPs) to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, while also providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies. This is a senior-level role for candidates with deep experience in venture capital, particularly in the AI and technology space, and a passion for fostering early-stage innovation.
What you will do:
Evaluate and analyze business models, financials, and market opportunities, with a focus on identifying scalable AI solutions with transformative potential. Conduct thorough due diligence, leading deep dives into technical and business aspects of potential investments, including market research, competitive analysis, and customer references. Present investment opportunities to the General Partners and Investment Committee with detailed investment memos and strategic recommendations. Act as a trusted thought partner to the GPs, driving initiatives that enhance the firm’s investment processes and portfolio support systems. Actively contribute to follow-on investment decisions and identify opportunities for additional capital deployment. Build and maintain a strong network within the AI, venture capital, and startup ecosystems, leveraging relationships to identify new opportunities and add value to portfolio companies. Represent the fund at industry conferences, panels, and networking events, establishing the firm’s presence in the AI and tech space.
Who you are:
5-8+ years of venture capital experience, with a focus on technology, AI, or deep tech investments. Prior experience working closely with early-stage startups is highly preferred. Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and data-driven business models, with the ability to assess the technical merits and scalability of AI startups. Proven ability to analyze complex business models, financial metrics, and market dynamics. Ability to create detailed financial projections and market analysis. Established network in the AI, technology, and startup ecosystem, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with founders, investors, and industry experts.
