This role is a full-time temp to perm position to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a principal within SEN support and enjoy working with children to help them achieve their true potential.

The Role We are currently looking for an inspirational and creative Principal to lead the supportive education team at iMap Centre. The candidate should understand Autism and its challenges and be able to support in designing and organising a differentiated curriculum.

About Us The school is a small provider, registered for up to 20 pupils, providing the highest quality of educational services for students aged 7 to 19 years. The school supports children with complex needs arising from autism, behavioural difficulties, and learning difficulties, helping them thrive, learn new skills, grow in confidence, and make new friends.
Responsibilities
Provide professional vision and leadership for the school. Report on pupil progress. Act as Designated Safeguard Lead. Formulate and review School Development Plans. Be a member of the Education SMT.
Professional Duties
Formulate the overall aims and objectives of the school and policies for their implementation. Lead by example, providing educational vision and direction. Manage and deploy all teaching and non-teaching staff. Ensure staff are aware of current educational developments. Supervise staff appraisal and identify training needs. Monitor and record pupil progress. Promote equality and inclusion. Ensure proper standards of behaviour. Maintain good order and discipline. Communicate effectively with parents/carers. Manage financial and material resources. Ensure health and safety of children, staff, and visitors.
