About the team and role This is an exciting time for a talented, self-driven professional to join us in the role of Highways Principal Development Management Co-ordinator as we take forward Gloucestershire’s 2050 Vision. We are leading the way in challenging conventions around the reallocation of road space, creating walkable neighbourhoods, and delivering green infrastructure with low carbon design. Our Highways Development Management section is at the heart of this work, helping to enable planned growth in a sustainable manner that contributes to our ambitious carbon reduction goals. As a Highways Principal Development Management Co-ordinator you will assist the Team Leader and support Development Management Co-ordinators in providing highways and transport advice as part of our statutory Development Management function. About You To be successful, we are looking for Transport Professionals and Engineers with substantial experience and a background in Highways Development Management, who will quickly understand the Gloucestershire context and can display their expertise in achieving ambitious targets. You should be able to work with a minimum of supervision and be comfortable in a busy environment with strict deadlines. Ideally, you would wish to use this role to progress your career within Highways Development Management. The work will be fast-paced; we will expect you to think on your feet and be ready to tackle challenges to grow the County’s vision.
