Petrofac is seeking a Principal Instrument Engineer –
Contractor for 12 months, based in Aberdeen, UK. The role is outside IR35, and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
Scope of Services: · Provide engineering input to estimates for project work scopes · Provide input to progress and planning meetings · Provide technical expertise to specify modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including but not limited to: o DCS, ESD F&G and Metering system modifications o Field Instrumentation including Pressure, Level, Temperature, Flow and Specialist Measurements. o Valves o SIL, High Integrity Systems (HIPPS) o Measurement and Metering o Industrial Networking and Communications · Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuringthat all design changes are captured by the change control process · To be able to conduct site surveyson offshore or onshore assets · To be able to produce calculations required for the role and participate in design reviews · Providecheckingand approval ofdisciplinedocuments;completeinterdisciplinarychecking ofdocuments where necessary · Production ofdisciplinedocumentation deliverables for inclusion inwork packs · Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standardsensuring theyare not compromised by anydisciplineengineeringactivities · Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards · Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Qualitypoliciesand procedures as appropriate. · Approve dispensations to codes or standardswherejustified Deliverables: · Control system philosophy andSoftware scopes of Work · Specifications · Vendor Statement of Requirements · Preparation & Issue of Survey Reports · PEPs · Instrument and I/O Schedules · Instrument / Equip / JB / IO / Alarm Schedule · Label Schedules · Orifice Plate / Valve /IS/CableandGeneralCalculations · Equipment Data Sheets · Requisition (Including SDRL) · SIL Assessment · Spares/Equipment List · Weight controlsheets · MELS and MDRS · Workpackinput Design deliverables to check: · Block Diagramsor Single line diagrams · Cause & Effect Diagrams · InstrumentCable Block Diagram · Cable Tray Routing & LayoutDiagrams · Panel;Control Room; F&G and Equipment RoomLayouts · Panel Wiring Diagram · Destruct Drawing · Instrument Mounting / Support Details · Logic& LoopDiagrams · Schematic Diagrams · Cable Interconnection Diagrams · Cable; Panel & Junction boxTermination Diagram · Junction Box Termination Diagram · Pneumatic; Chemical and HydraulicHook-up Diagram · Pneumatic; Chemical and HydraulicHook-up Schematic · Installation or story board diagrams to facilitate understanding · Cable Schedule · Requisition - Bulk Bill of Materials Additional Information
