Legal, Governance Compliance Services is a fast-paced, varied team that supports all areas of the organisation. This is an opportunity to join the Mayoral Combined Authority at a pivotal time, as we are involved in a wide range of projects that will help shape the West Yorkshire region. Following the announcement of the English Devolution White Paper in December 2024, there are significant opportunities for growth and development in this area. As Principal Lawyer, you will oversee the work of the Governance and Regulatory Team while managing your own caseload. You will provide critical legal advice on public and regulatory law, including high-profile litigation, and work with key stakeholders in the delivery and oversight of significant powers, such as the Mayor's Police and Crime functions. We are looking for a Lawyer with strong legal expertise, a solid knowledge base, and demonstrated leadership capabilities. Our Offer
