Circa £44,000 What you’ll be doing: Deputise for the Commissioning Project Leader as and when is required, including supervision of personnel on shift Oversee all Test and Commissioning activities ensuring all works are carried out as required by policy, procedure and legislation To carry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment Instruct and mentor less experienced members of the team within knowledge and competency Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out and production of Test and Commissioning documentation Responsible for self-development and attending any mandatory training requirements Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all relevant systems and strong knowledge of other system interfaces Your skills and experiences: Have experience within Test and Commissioning, understanding the different role and responsibilities Detailed knowledge of safety controls and procedures in a high-risk environment Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams Technical Author experience Understanding of Risk Assessments (COSHH) Experience working with Oil, Steam, and/or Rotatory equipment Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Mechanical Commissioning team: As the Principal Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, you will be joining one of the most complex engineering programmes nationally. It is an opportunity to work on first of class submarines, sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experienced engineers to help achieve our goals. You will also be involved in key event testing for Dreadnought on new designs. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria. Why BAE Systems?
