The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineers through project delivery of

mechanical design solutions. Qualifications Required for Principal Mechanical Design Engineer Role

A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering. Chartered status (CEng) would be advantageous but not essential. Skills:

Mechanical Engineering:

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of various principles, theories, concepts and techniques related to mechanics including thermodynamics, hydraulics/pneumatics systems design/analysis etc. Mechanical Design:

A thorough understanding of designing mechanisms such as gears or other moving parts that enable equipment/machinery/systems to carry out specific tasks efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met. Machinery Design:

In-depth expertise concerning machinery/equipment selection processes based on requirements specifications analysis considering factors like cost-effectiveness balanced against performance needs. Mechanical Handling Systems:

Experience developing/improving handling system designs where modifications may impact overall efficiencies significantly. Leading Engineers:

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will manage other engineers working on similar projects. Therefore, excellent leadership experience is required. Communication Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication abilities are essential for collaborating closely with clients from different sectors. Salary & Benefits:

The salary offered for this position is up to £75,000 per annum, reflecting your qualifications and experience. We offer hybrid & flexible working arrangements.
