Principal Mechanical Design Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading defence organization in Stevenage, where you'll work on ground-breaking complex weapons and weapon systems that help protect national security.
What You'll Do:
Lead mechanical design work packages across the full product lifecycle
Develop mechanical solutions for complex systems
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Engage with suppliers and stakeholders
Work on international projects with potential overseas travel
Drive innovation in mechanical design and development
What You'll Need:
Degree/HND/HNC in relevant field
Experience in mechanical design and development, specializing in:
Mechanisms
Structures
Assembly and Integration
Concept development
Strong leadership abilities
Experience with 3D CAD/CAE tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis (advantageous)
Ability to obtain required security clearance
