Are you an experienced mechanical engineer passionate about shaping the future of energy? Proxima Fusion seeks a leader to spearhead the mechanical design and manufacturing of components for stellarators. The ideal candidate will be a creative and highly analytical problem-solver with extensive experience in design for manufacturing and assembly. Experience with cryogenics/vacuum, high heat flux components or advanced structural design would be a strong bonus.

Leading and coordinating the design, development, and implementation of complex systems for stellarators; Helping to define and coordinate engineering design processes optimized to balance speed, agility and rigor; Driving the selection and development of manufacturing processes and ensuring seamless transition from design to production; Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, taking a key role in minimizing overall system compromise; Contributing to the growth and development of mechanical engineering teams.
