Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MRI Physics Team at HUTH NHS Trust following the expansion of the Radiation Protection and Radiology Physics group.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HCPC registered Clinical Scientist working at MRSE level to join a team of four MR physicists at band 8a. We will also consider less experienced candidates for appointment at a lower grade.

Physics support is provided to two acute Trusts either side of the Humber (four sites), as well as local Community Diagnostic Centres, mobile services and private providers. The twelve local systems are a mixture of 1.5/3.0T, Philips, Siemens and GE, static and mobile installations. There are an additional three new installations within the next six months.

This is an excellent opportunity to take an advanced role within a growing team and to develop your own areas of specialist clinical MR physics support and research interests. Active engagement with regional and national networks is strongly encouraged.

Please note that we would also consider a Band 7.

Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. You can determine the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship for the post by assessing your circumstances against criteria specified on the gov.uk website.

Main duties of the job

Delivering a wide range of scientific and technical support for clinical MRI services to deliver service improvements and optimise patient care.
