The Role: Principal Operations Performance Improvement Manager

Are you ready to lead transformation initiatives and drive operational excellence at British Airways? Join our team as a Principal Operations Performance Improvement Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities and designing impactful strategies to improve operational performance across our business. What You’ll Do:

Lead transformation initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in operational processes, organisational structure, and operating models. Collaborate closely with the Operations Leadership Team, including the COO, to diagnose performance and design solutions that achieve significant step-changes in performance. Manage a team of analysts, providing intellectual leadership to deliver diagnostics and actionable outcomes. Translate complex challenges into structured, data-driven projects and execute these to achieve key business outcomes. Build and deliver compelling communications to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Work with advanced analytics and operational research teams to leverage data science techniques for impactful solutions. Lead workshops and process redesign initiatives with senior management to embed innovative approaches and drive adoption. Act as a strategic advisor to senior operational leaders and support them in delivering results aligned with organisational goals. What You’ll Bring to British Airways:

A proactive, positive, and action-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and communication skills. Exceptional ability to build relationships, influence behaviour, and drive change across all levels of the organisation. A talent for navigating ambiguity, developing innovative solutions, and delivering results under pressure. A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Your Experience:

Experience at a leading management consultancy (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Bain) at a senior associate, consultant, or manager level, or equivalent experience in a similarly demanding and strategic role. Proven expertise in airline operations or similar industries, with a strong track record of prioritising and delivering high-impact projects. Demonstrated experience leading teams of analysts and applying advanced analytics or data science techniques to solve complex problems. What we offer:
