The post holder will work to ensure the continued provision and development of high quality, comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients as well as influence senior managers and clinicians. We will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of Trust work, support from senior pharmacy staff and an environment to develop further. The Pharmacy Service at St George's is highly regarded across the Trust, with over 270 staff members working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. The department is friendly, forward thinking and constantly expanding with opportunities for personal and service development including further postgraduate education. Main duties of the job

o Lead, manage, strategically develop and deliver specialist clinical pharmacy (including clinics and hyperacute unit) and medicines optimisation to Anticoagulation and Haemoglobinopathy Services.o To manage the anti-coagulation pharmacisto Provide expert advice on a broad range of pharmaceutical matters. o Plan and deliver specialist training within pharmacy and to the wider multidisciplinary team.o Responsible for the planning and coordination of projects or audits for Anticoagulation and Haemoglobinopathy Services.o Contribute to the strategic planning of the pharmacy department and medicines optimisation according to Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Plan. o Be an active member and contribute to the Hospital Thrombosis and Haemoglobinopathy groups. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy challenging environment, be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. You will have good communication skills and be an enthusiastic educator. They should possess a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and have the relevant hospital pharmacy experience. Experience of working and influencing in a multi-disciplinary team and an independent prescribing qualification are essential. About us

Qualifications

Registered with Gphc MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice Non- medical prescriber Formal management training Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (MRPharmS) Experience

Substantial post registration experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner to include experience managing patients in anticoagulation or haemoglobinopathy Experience of supervising and managing staff/ teams Experience of contribution to the operational and strategic direction of the pharmacy department Experience in implementing and managing change and of service development Experience in supporting directorate activity Experience in delivering training and education at undergraduate and postgraduate level Experience of one stop dispensing Skills
