An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist with clinical trials experience to join the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Team. The position will be based at Broomfield hospital where you will be responsible for leading and further developing the cross site pharmacy clinical trials team. The post holder will be an integrated member of the Trust's Research and development team providing medication related information and support to the development and implementation of the commercial and non commercial clinical trials. Responsibility for leading, managing, directing, and strategically developing and delivering a safe, comprehensive, cost-efficient Pharmacy Clinical Trials Service for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSE). Ensuring the MSE Pharmacy Clinical Trials service is compliant with relevant EU and UK clinical trial legislation. Lead and manage the pharmacy clinical trials team. Provide technical advice and support to researchers on regulatory matters and trial design when conducting non-commercial and commercial clinical trials. Promote and maintain Pharmacy involvement in clinical trials by acting as the main point of contact in the pharmacy department for investigators and their support staff, clinical research staff representing a sponsoring organisation, personnel acting for national and local clinical research networks and MSE Research and Development department (R&D). Participate in R&D committee meetings and presentations of clinical trial submissions, as appropriate. Advise R&D on IMP related queries/incidents including drug recalls and serious breaches. Collaborate with Principal Pharmacist, Technical Services to ensure the efficient use of the aseptic facilities for compounding Investigational Medicinal Products including the production of SOPs as appropriate. Qualifications

Masters Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent Post Graduate Qualification Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Knowledge and Experience

Significant previous clinical trials experience Budgetary management experience Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance issues in relation to clinical trials Disclosure and Barring Service Check
