to work with

within Renewables. Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all our sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable and economical engineering solutions. Under the banner of Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all our locations and are a trusted source of expert advice for both Murphy colleagues and external customers. A day in the life of a Murphy Principal Pipeline Engineer Responsible for the day to day management and development of a team of engineers Responsible for the delivery of all technical drawings and reports for the detailed design phase of linear infrastructure projects (steel transmission pipelines & plastic ducts for HV cables) Responsible for delivery of constructability reports associated with linear infrastructure projects Responsible for delivery Pre-FEED and FEED studies associated with major pipeline/HV power cable infrastructure projects in the UK Technical support to planners and estimators during FEED studies Checking and approving of technical design reports Project reporting and coordination of design activities within the engineering team Represent the design department, when necessary, at internal and external meetings Undertake site visits when required Accurate recording of time spent on projects and management of team workloads Coach and mentor individual staff members with professional development Support the bid teams with technical input into tender submissions & develop design estimates for inclusion in the overall submission Technical input into Trenchless Crossing Designs (HDD’s, Microtunnels & Auger Bores)
Still interested, does this sound like you? Degree qualified in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Chartered with a professional institution regulated by the Engineering Council (or working towards Chartership) Familiar with National Gas standards for transmission pipelines as well as other UK, EU and International standards (E.g.
