Following an internal promotion, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join our thriving Pricing Department. As a Principal Analyst, you will play a key role in setting fair and accurate prices across our diverse portfolio of personal lines products. Your responsibilities will include analysing market conditions, alongside internal data, to develop and maintain an accurate technical price. You will also support on change projects to create value for the business, such as the introduction of online quote and buy to complement our existing sales channels. You’ll apply statistical pricing techniques and draw on your industry expertise to enhance the team’s technical capabilities. You’ll also take ownership of complex analyses, serve as a technical expert and referral point for more junior colleagues, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of pricing models and performance reports. Your insights will directly influence business decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards. Collaboration will be essential as you build relationships with Underwriting, Pricing, and other departments to contribute to our ongoing success and innovation. You’ll manage and plan projects, ensuring timescales and outcomes are met, while managing your own work. By taking ownership of follow-up actions and stakeholder relationships, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an effective service and driving positive outcomes for the team, NFUM and its members. About you
We are seeking a Principal Pricing Analyst who shares our passion for delivering fair and accurate prices to our customers. You will have a strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and excellent analytical skills alongside prior specific experience of working within a General Insurance Pricing function. You will ideally have a background in pricing personal motor products; however, we are open to considering professionals with experience in other personal lines of business. Experience with price management online would be highly advantageous for the role. We will also be looking for you to demonstrate the following: Ability to interpret complex data and draw sound business recommendations Ability to effectively present complex information to non-technical audiences Experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and guide key decisions effectively Ability to independently manage your workload while being an efficient team collaborator.
